11 inches higher than Dec 2007 but still below it long term Average.  From February 2008 till January 2009 the lake has risen 16 inches!

Lake Michigan's water level has dropped 4 feet since 1997 which has caused a few safety hazards for boats and freighters.

Record - high levels were recorded back in 1986.  This caused severe beach erosion and several Grand Haven Cottages to fall into the lake.
